1. If you see a RED X it probably means you do not have Java installed or enabled in your browser. Click Here to install Java. Seeing white ? Sometimes you can simply select another webcam and the issue will clear up. For exmample Baby Midnight's Special Project Webcam #1 may display white. Select Special Project Cam#2, wait for that one to load, then go back to CAM #1 and it should load. We are working to resolve this issue. Seeing BLACK ? That's probably because it's nighttime! Remember we on on the East Coast of the United States. Special Projects and Black and White Ruffed Lemurs have lights on until 10 PM or sometimes later. It costs a lot of money to run night lights. We currently do not have enough donations to turn lights on for all habitats. Gold Level Sponsor donations go toward the cost of these two habitats -- MORE SPONSORS = MORE LIGHTS !!!
2. If you have never taken webcam snapshots read our How To page.
3. By pressing F11 on your keyboard, some browsers like Internet Explorer and Firefox will expand to fill your monitor. This allows you more viewing area so that when you choose other cams to view you may not have to scroll as much. By doing this the cam viewing area tends to stay in a fixed position. If you are using AOL, MSN Explorer, or some other browsers F11 may not work.
4. Don't expect all cams to work all the time! These cams take a real beating on a daily basis from the elements and from our Sanctuary residents. Webcam repair is a time intensive and very expensive challenge. You can help us by making a donation or by becoming a Gold Level Sponsor. Without your support we cannot possibly repair these cams fast enough to meet the demand. MORE DONATIONS = MORE CAMS
5. Be patient. Not all the animals will be sitting/standing in front of a camera at
all times. There are only so many cameras and not every inch of the exibits can
be caught on film. You may just have to wait for a while until the animal comes
in viewing range.
