Posting in too many separate topics at one time sounds like a minor issue but really it's very important for us all to think about. Now that we have pretty much conquered the rapidfire-posting issue, lets move ahead and improve this aspect too.

Lets all try to avoid posting inside more than 5 topics in one day unless you are contributing quality information. If you are in one thread it's fine to answer back-and-forth with members in an ongoing discussion, but when you go through the entire forum (replying to numerous topics at one sitting) just to say hello, or just to reply for the sake of replying, it just becomes an annoyance to other members.

Why does this become an annoyance ?

Many members "watch" certain topics and receive notification when someone posts there. These notifications come via e-mail. If you post in 10 topics then each member will receive 10 e-mail notifications and many will go to the site to read what you said! 10 notifications at one time is only fun for members if you are providing QUALITY INFORMATION.

I do not want to discourage anyone from being active in the forum, but it's just not always necessary to repond to every single topic in one day. That is unless you have a lot of good stuff to talk about! Remember that you are essentially CALLING-IN members to come to the site and read your posts.

I have already sent PMs to members this really applies to. If you did not receive one then you are fine. Just please pass on the word to others.
