Dear Nerdmates,
Please take the time to review the following from the Forum Tips and guidelines. Keep in mind that these reminders are never meant to target anyone specifically -- but to serve as a reminder to us all, that we each play a very important role in keeping the forum "nerd friendly."
Regards,

P.S. Please feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions.
Forum Tips and Guidelines
~~
Posting in the Forums
-- Important! Look to see if your topic is already discussed somewhere before posting a new one. Using the search feature at the top of the page is a great way to start. You can also just browse existing topics.
-- Try to stay on topic. Posts should be made to the most relevant forum. If you want to say something and feel it does not fit into any of the available topics you can feel free to add your post or topic inside “Rant & Rave”. If you post off topic by accident let someone know by editing your post "Sorry I posted off topic" -- this way we realize it was just a mistake.
-- IMAGES: Do not post any images larger than 300 pixels in size. The only exceptions apply to Admins and Moderators in the course of posting Sanctuary related updates or helping other members with troubleshooting certain issues , e.g. Sometimes Admin submitted screenshots may exceed 300 pixels. Even if you are posting relatively small images please limit them to 2-3 per post max. We need to respect users with various Internet connection speeds, site bandwidth limitations, and usability of this forum.
-- Members should use an appropriate, descriptive title when posting a new topic. Examples of bad titles include; "Help me!", "Cool", "Yes!", etc. Examples of good descriptive titles include; "How Many Golden Tigers Are There in the Sanctuary?", "I Need Help Finding Lemur Avatars", etc.
-- After you post something wait for a response. Try to avoid a continuous series of separate posts where it’s only you talking inside one topic. Chances are if you are the last person that posted everyone else will be looking at what you have written. If you need to address several people in one topic, simply address them clearly within one message if possible. You do not need to create a separate post to answer every person individually. Of course there are some exceptions.
-- Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Users linking to or re-printing material without permission will receive a warning and their post will be removed. By “material” we are usually talking about copyrighted images or copied text content written by someone else. Simply linking to a site is perfectly fine in most cases! You may not Hotlink to images without permission from the site the content belongs to.
-- Members should respect the bandwidth of other users and sites. The use of inline ([IMG][/IMG]) image tags pointing to data stored on third party systems for which the user has not received permission to link to may be removed.
-- ABSOLUTELY NO PROFANITY is permitted in this forum. This includes racial slurs of any kind. Any member that shows an unwillingness to follow simple rules posted here will have their account deleted. This may include suspending all services to include webcams and gallery as we see fit. _________________ "Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal." - Henry Ford |
