| Forum Tips, Guidelines, and Updates
|-- IMAGES: Do not post any images larger than 300 pixels in size. The only exceptions apply to Admins and Moderators in the course of posting Sanctuary related updates or helping other members with troubleshooting certain issues , e.g. Sometimes Admin submitted screenshots may exceed 300 pixels. Even if you are posting relatively small images please limit them to 2-3 per post max. We need to respect users with various Internet connection speeds, site bandwidth limitations, and usability of this forum. |
As most of us are already aware -- an exception to the number of images that may be included in a single post was made for the "Describe the 'LETTER' with a 'WORD'!" activity. Special thanks to everyone who has been using clickable thumbnail sized images for that activity and in other places in the forum as well!
Please keep in mind that no exception has been made elsewhere in the forum. One of the reasons for having limitations on the size and number of images in a post is that when these guidelines are not adhered to -- members with slower connection speeds may not be able to enjoy the forum in the same way as those with faster connection speeds. Too many images or too many oversized images in posts may cause pages to load slowly, diminishing their ability to participate and enjoy the forum.
Following these guidelines is an important part of keeping the forum "nerd-friendly."
--The standard size for larger images -- 320 x 240 -- is allowed, but nothing larger than that should be posted.
--One way to display multiple images in a post is to use links instead of images or a combination of images and links.
--When in doubt -- ask BEFORE posting.
