|When you guys see locked topics it's an "assumption" a question has been answered or resolved. Also after a long period of time if there are no additional posts, then topics may get locked. This NEVER means you can't address something again in a different way and/or start a new similar topic, etc. Sometimes we think something is resolved and it isn't!
Old Topics and Posts (3 months or more)
Some locked topics get deleted about every 3 months only if they contain little useful information to members searching for specific info -- chatty topics usually get deleted over time. Sometimes to make a topic more relevant, moderators may delete specific posts leaving the valuable information (other posts in same topic) available for people searching. Also topic subject titles may be changed to make them more relevant for people searching or browsing. e.g. "Cams" is not a very specific subject title. "Black & White Lemur Cams Not Working" is specific.
None of this is meant to target anyone specifically. Please don't be offended if your posts are deleted. I can guarantee you that if your post is deleted that others are experiencing the same. Moderators / Admins are no exception.
Sometimes I save my posts in a Word document or text file if I feel the information is extremely important and needs to be saved forever. Nothing is guaranteed to stay in ANY forum. I know most of you realize this but I wanted to say that just in case.
Thanks again to everyone for keeping this forum in awesome shape.
