|
|
Because of this post I wrote earlier, here's a sample of what a decoded TigerHomes stream looks like - The files were downloaded as a test on the morning of April 24th, a few weeks ago, and shows the new Ring-Tailed Lemur baby in both movies...
Ring-Tailed Lemurs 4-24-06, Cam 4 - This one is the best: all of the lemurs gathering together!
and
Ring-Tailed Lemurs 4-24-06, Cam 5 - This download lasted a little longer (about 8min.) than 5 minutes, so the movie is about a minute long decoded.
Enjoy!

Sure! The program I used was my own creation (it's an AppleScript called "Convert RAWD file to JPEGs") , but I'm sure there's similar programs that can take a raw stream and decode it into the indivdiual JPEGs it contains... I'm eventually going to release a player program (it's about 40% done - I need to get off my @$# and finish it before I release it) that can play the stream as it's downloading and decode it if you want to, but it's not ready yet... I set the framerate at 6fps, but I could slow it down...
Yep! That's my site. Another thing I *really* have to get off my #@% and update... I have a lot of videos on there, but I'm thinking of cancelling that site eventually and just moving everything to Flickr and YouTube... |

Sure! If you got whiplash watching the fast versions , here are the slowed-down versions - they're a little larger filesize (about 1/4 again as much) wise, but they're closer to the speed of the original cams:
4-24-06 Cam 4 and 4-26-06 Cam 5
Enjoy!

turbine.......... vrooommmmm
What a great capture & conversion on the life stream. Any of us would die to have just ONE OF THOSE FRAMES For those who are not sure about downloading new software - just open from current location. It takes about 2-3 minutes on DSL to download the first file 4.64MG.
This is great work and decoding - WORTH EVERY SINGLE SECOND
Replay loop on the .wmv sings right along. Hope you don't mind these are already dropped on my desktop and tucked away under "t~e" in my .wmv folder THANK YOU

This is funny that was "live stream" but "life stream" also applies because it is the same thing in this instance
Please excuse More coming - checking back for "Live" progress updates

Those streams were awesome taburineagle but wow they moved real fast the first ones hehe hope you dont mind but have put the second slower on in my TH file under your name but he second slower one for some reason is the same as the first or didnt i watch it long enough
But must say wish I had sofware to make them look that good when i do stills into video clips cant get them to run anyfaster than 1.20sec between each shot which is far to slow but hey its better than nothing hehe _________________ I think everything has the right to live and breath where ever and what ever they are

OMG! T~e......that is so cool! Yep, it went kind of fast, but this is the lemurs we're talking about...LOL....Loved tht one! So many talented people in this forum and it never stops! Love the avartar too by the way...only had one question and forgive me if you've posted it already, but Im a photographer too, on the side and as one of my hobbies, and just was wondering what kind of camera you use to get some of those awesome and crystal clear shots that you get? Can't wait to see what's next! _________________ Every little bit, DOES help, often in a BIG way. ~kitty24~ |

I thought you did that on purpose... I like "life stream" more than live stream in this case - it makes it sound more exotic!

Cool ~ They should be just slightly different... the first file was 8fps, the slower ones were supposed to be 1fps... they're the same vids, just slower (or they should be )

What program do you use to make your videos? Some programs that import an image sequence (the files to make the movie are all individual frames like Frame001.jpg, Frame002.jpg, etc.) let you choose the framerate that you want to use to import them.

Thanks! ~ Video or still camera? Stills wise, I use a Canon 20D with a combination of the stock 18-55mm lens (it came as a kit), a Canon 100mm f/2.8 HSM macro lens (it's actually my best lens - it produces the best exposure/color out of all of them) and a Sigma 80-400mm telephoto zoom lens with OS for longer shots (although you have to crank the ISO up to 200-400 IMHO to get good exposure out of it - the Red-Tailed Hawk set of pics that I took were the only "perfect" shots I've gotten with that Sigma lens at 100 ISO...)

Thanks! Glad to be of service - OK, enough reading... Here are 3 more "life stream"-decode movies! All of these movies are 2fps, a little faster than the "slow" ones, but a little slower than the "fast" ones - basicially just splitting the difference...
Ring-Tailed Lemurs, Cam 1 4/7/06 "Morning Craziness"
Ring-Tailed Lemurs, Cam 5 4/13/06 "Feeding Time" - you can see one of the RT babies jumping around, climbing the log next to it, etc. in this one!
Ring-Tailed Lemurs, "Lemur Extravaganza" - 4 other shots I thought were interesting
Enjoy!

Wow! I have to say those vids are totally awesome T~e!
I especially like the one *Feeding Time* when the baby lemur *pops* up in the air in the 2 frames
This is so great for us night nerds who can't always get to see the ringtails in the daylight hours to be able to come to the forum and watch these clips. Thanks for helping to calm my addiction by providing a *fix* _________________ "Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened."

|
|
I'm going to be going away for a week, so I decoded a few more TH streams: Please pardon the framerate (8fps) - I forgot to dial it back down to 2fps...
Here a Ring-Tailed Lemur eats, followed by a Brown Lemur chiming in at the end
Another pair of Ring-Tailed Lemurs relaxing on Camera 5
Ever wonder what Ring-Tailed habitat nightlights would look like? Here is a sample taken from when the Ruffed Lemur nights were being put up (they shined a little bit into the RT habitat)...
A kind-of dark video of A Ring-Tailed Lemur sniffing Camera 2 (and knocking it around)
and finally...
A curious lemur looks around, taken from the same night as the Ring-Tailed lights video...
Enjoy and I'll be back~
