I will be driving cross-country for the next 5 days so my internet access and available time will be unpredictable, but I will try to keep you updated on the next eggs. You can pretty much count on a new egg being laid every other day.
Happy Owl Watching!

LOL! I am! I've been watching those owls. Even voted my guess for when the first egg would be laid. (I was off by a week-drat!) First egg was yesterday, as the quote says, and I was lucky enough to get a glimpse of it. COOL! Can't wait for the hatchlings which are so cute you just go awwwww. What faces on them Exclamation Very Happy

Raptor nesting time....gotta love it. I look forward to it every year. Very Happy Once a day I'll peek at them all to keep track of their progress. Who'd have thought I'd get lazy enough to birdwatch from my computer??! Embarassed Aww, what the heck anyway? Who can go out at 12/1am and spot an owl sitting eggs? (HA! especially without disturbing them 'eh?) Let's see....I'm currently peeking at osprey, eagles, peregrine falcon, barn owls and great owls......still waiting on the feed from Germany to go live this year with the return of the stork pair. (ok, they're not raptors Laughing ) Now if only I could find a site spying on red-tail hawks............ Wink Did I mention I really like birds?? Laughing

Thanks for mentioning this Keykey!

WOW keykey......that's a really nice view on that one. Just added yet ANOTHER shortcut to the desktop. Shocked Here is a link to the storks I watched last season and have been checking up on since their arrival back again this year. It's in Germany and it sometimes takes at least 30 sec or so to load, so be patient.

It works out for me because of the time difference.......late night viewing. Laughing

A webcam in a swift's nest.Very Happy
Meet the birds that never land, except when on the nest.
Once they fly out of the nest they will be on the wing for at least two years before they start breeding.

Just came across this, a Pergrine Falcon cam on Derby Cathedral in the UK. They have 2 camera's set up so you can watch the nest which is home to two adorable little chicks born on the 10th May, unfortunatly the other two eggs didn't hatch.

A friend sent this to me and thought I'd share.

She wrote: Be sure to click on NEXT PAGE at the bottom of each page as there are 5 pages in all. A lady found a hummingbird nest and got pictures all the way from the egg to leaving the nest. Took 24 days from birth to flight. Make sure you view the last page, I found it the most amazing!
Here's the link to the photos: http://community-2.webtv.net/Velpics/HUM/

Now I've got a hummingbird in my yard that's been gathering the webbing from a spider web outside the window next to my PC. Assuming it's being used to build their tiny nest. I've got the hummingbird feeder filled up and ready to go. Cool
