So sorry to hear things are still so bad for you Dave I just so wish I had enought to send for you to get your bills and stuff sorted but alas Im not in anyway able to do this unless I win the lottery this weekend.
It must be a big relief to at least know the animals are ok for food at the moment and that your managing to bring in some money from this project your working on. Which by the sounds of it will look great when its finished.
Keep hoping Dave who nows as you say it might fall out the sky we can only hope hey

Anyone heard from Dave? Cathy, if you're out there...has he lost internet service? I'm so wishing I could help, but I've been out of work for two months and still fighting to find work and get Unemployment...So so sorry things are bad. Please give us an update when you can.

BIG Hello to all! THANKS to everyone for staying with TigerHomes during this time. We need everyone to be ready because changes are happening.

Sorry Kitty about your finding work and then having to struggle it sounds for unemployment (that just doesn't seem fair ). It is so hard these days for so many people, and especially the animals. I have more people needing help than ever and my resources are so TIGHT also, working a job I have to be at instead of wanting to be at just to make ends meet. I am grateful though that at least everyone of my creatures is healthy and well fed. That is a major accomplishment. Oh my, then there is the next one, and the next...... and you just CANNOT GIVE UP.

Those of you who know Dave KNOW THIS MAN WILL NEVER GIVE UP. His internet did come back up with some effort, but not smoothly, frustrated he was trying to recover emails and regenerate service. He has taken to working every day, 7 days a week. Last update I got from him he was working a private home renovation and also doing a garden center build out, including fountains and waterfalls, for a 501 charitable organization with a grand opening coming up soon. Hopefully he will put in a post as soon as he can.

Murf was trying to get him up to Gainesville then working there so they could tend to the last of the habitat structures, including trying to get the money to pour the concrete, so our TigerHomes animals can be moved. It most certainly has been a struggle but we can say a THANK YOU prayer that at least we have FOOD. He picked up another full truck load of meat from Quirsch, GONE... and has since picked up one more. The other expenses have not changed and the Sanctuary still needs help.

Just covering the gas to Gainesville is a major challenge so you can imagine how difficult it is for him to be forced to manage the move with such bare resources.

On the plus side - LOOK how much has been accomplished. Dave will always make the most of things. So many valuable materials were recovered from TigerHomes here and reused, plus the labor to get as far along at that distance is just amazing.

For me, I have not given up or changed my dedication to Dave, to TigerHomes or the animals. I too am in the process of reorganizing my life to be in a better position to continue my work with the domestic animals. Ultimately to be in a better position to help Dave with Tigerhomes, particularly with the educational website. Please know that every page we view, pictures & script we post generates money from our interest here directly for TigerHomes. Plus we need to make this fun for everyone, especially any newcomers while the Sanctuary is moving.

To all, try if you can to post if at all possible, to keep things active here while this is all changing. News, updates, photos, pets - greets are all welcome & very helpful and REALLY APPRECIATED.

Will get back to you guys as soon as I can with any news. After my owns struggles, I am closer than ever to reaching my goals. Keep the faith ~ the website, the cameras ~ everything is coming back for us who love TigerHomes and these amazing animals!!! Maybe I can get some Pictures for you guys one day soon and I still owe Angrod my last set, full screen uncut which I promise soon.

TIGERHOMES II is going to be better than ever. I wouldn't miss it for the world, and it just wouldn't be the same without each & everyone of you.

Hi everybody !!!

I just got back from Gainesville i was there for 2 weeks working with Murf and his forman Mike on a job that they had putting siding (hardy board) on a 2 story house for a friend. And at the same time we were able to do some work on Tigerhomes 2 like cutting grass and cutting down dead trees and alot of burning but was not able to work on the habitats ! ( no money)

We will be going back up for Thanksgiving for a few days and will do a little more but it looks like it will be towards the last 2 weeks in Dec. and into Jan. that we are plaining to knock out the habitats for all the big cats if there money available by then !

Things could no be any harder but as Cathy said in her post i will make it happen some way some how !!!

Dave - it is so good to see you are able to post and to get an official update!

Still posting from work (audit shift) but getting CLOSER to having my own system back up 100%. I know you - we - are just steps away from having the TigerHomes II habitats complete. I know it must be hard not to be tired with the struggles of late sometimes, but I also know that the prospect of what is to come is enough to keep you going. Would be nice if you had a little help, I know that too.

I was just looking at the size and layout of the new habitats and I cannot wait to see the "big cats" enjoying these new surroundings. Working on getting my own donation off to you soon - I know every bit really helps.

Helps to hear from the fans and members out there too. Kitty, Donna (keykey), nikki, Angrod and ALL - hope you stop by to say hello & give us an update of your own. AND Jason - hope you can put in a post soon and give us an update or even a PHOTO or two. Hope all is well with those precious bush babies & you.

So good to hear from the man himself...TigerDave!! And then as always, good to hear from you too, Cathy. Sorry I haven't been on much, but lots going on on my end, and still out of work, so unfortunately don't have anything to send right now, and planning a move here before too long myself. Mostly been job hunting and researching things online, and working on my photography as right now it's the only thing keeping me sane...lol.
I know times are tight and tough all over, but I KNOW there has got to be a way to help bring some donations in to help the sanctuary. The wheels they are a turnin'...just need time to think and plot...hehe.
Ps-YES, it would be good to hear a word or two, maybe three from the King Nerdasaurus himself, Lemur-J aka Bushbaby keeper, aka Jason!

wanted to check in with you guys ! I been working long hours putting together a Garden Center with a couple of friends of mine and it been nothing but long days and nights with no time off ! I leave early in the morning and get home after 9pm and this has been going on for weeks now with very little pay ! They owe me for 21 days right now ! I have had my power turned off and the internet again so to say i'm having problems is a huge understatement ! hehe !!

But with that being said the animals are all doing great and still getting my food for them from Quirch Foods so that's been a huge help to say the least !!!

I just talked to Murf just now and he wanting to go back to gainesville for Thankgiving at his mom's ! We were going to leave Thru. morning but now he has decided we should leave Wed. morning and will be coming back on Sunday so this is a short trip which by the way i could use.

Everything has been a huge struggle but i will get through this and 2010 can't be any worst then 2009 so that a good sign ! hehe !

I have a bunch of things going on and just doing my best just to survive but soon i will be moved and soon i will breath new life into Tigerhomes 2 but for now i'm on survival mode just trying to stay alive day to day !

Which im sure you all can relate too !!!

Alway remember Play Doh Baby is the man and our mission will live on !!! LOL !!!

Thanks for the updates and honestly hope you at least get a few minutes to relax while you're in Gainesville. We all know you gotta do what you gotta do to survive. Big Kudos to you and hugs to Loki...well, to all the animals.
Miss them all like crazy and can only hope that one day we'll be able to see them on cam again.

Thanks for checking in & posting. I know these are very long periods without updates right now. First & foremost - I saw Dave yesterday and have an update now for you but I want you to KNOW THE ANIMALS ARE ALL DOING FINE. They miss us, of course, but we will have plenty of time to make that up down the road.

Kitty - I am posting in from work and will read back to see if we have had any updates on your job searching. Wishing you well for the Holidays and sending Best Wishes to all of you. Friends and Family 'tis the season, you guys are the reason we are still here

Tigerhomes Update(s):

Dave's internet & email is off-line due to the financial situation right now, and the time & then the technical side. Everything has to be reconfigured to reset his email - something do to with Donnie's server transmission.

The animals are fine and TigerHomes has received another donation of meat from Quirsch foods, Miami. Thank GOODNESS!!!

Dave is in survival mode preparing everything for the final move to Gainesville. He went up for Thanksgiving with Murf. He was not able to go back up with Murf for Christmas. Dave is working everyday at CHC - a garden center in Kendall (south Miami) planning & designing the layout. This is a non-profit 501(3)c corporation for adult rehabilitation. He feels lucky to have this opportunity & has to work off property right now out of shear necessity to pay the bills right now.

Dave called me because he had a cat he found that had been hit by a car traumatized in the middle of the road - with BELIEVE this - cars not even stopping just running over him frozen in the pavement. He is a small 6-8 month old black/white male. He needed help and Dave just has his hands so full I went to get him. I did see the garden center and the amount of work Dave has done there but unfortunately did not have my camera. I needed to get the creature back home to take care of him. The little guy's name is Hercules. His leg has been set -hopefully it is just the scapula plate that was disjointed. He is eating fine and went from hissing in the corner to being quite a little gentleman. He is a survivor, hence Hercules and he sends his thanks to Dave for turning his truck sideways to block traffic while he got him out of harm's way.

Happy Holidays!!!!! The world keeps on spinning round & we just need to be there to do the best we can while we are here to do it.

Please don't give up & never stop caring. Check out this website so you can see where Dave is spending his time. His morning schedule usually involves working to assist the adult students in their rehabilitation and learning efforts. I have no doubt he is an excellent teacher ~ you should see the rock walkways, garden scapes, fountains, and plants on site. Now I put in my Christmas message in the Rant and Rave section that I have made a promise to myself not to stay away as long as I have done recently so Im am saying it again I promise to come and spend more time with TH once the Christmas time is over.
