Hey Abby, here is my opinion!!

Mostly "Money", It's all about the money, and maybe how big they get. I've seen a Liger that stood 10 feet tall on it's hind legs and weighed about 1000 lbs. This just sounds to crazy to me, but it's all about the money.

You got it,kristie! And that is so Sad! I've seen those pics on the net of those animals and the people standing next to them, showing them off. It's got to be because of the money, that seems to be the one thing people like that can't get enough of, and the things people do to get it, just amazes me sometimes. These animals most of the time are the ones to suffer because of this and it just makes me so sick. Twisted Evil

Here's a thought! Wouldn't it be nice if we took care of the animals we know of instead of making "frankencats" and whatnot? (HUGE eyeroll!) Rolling Eyes Shame on humans!!! Mad

Here's something I hope to never see! (yes! the below is a joke! Laughing )

A turkey farmer was always experimenting with breeding
to perfect a better turkey. His family was fond of the leg portion
for dinner, and there were never enough legs for everyone.

After many frustrating attempts, the farmer was relating the results
of his efforts to his friends at the general store get together.

"Well, I finally did it! I bred a turkey that has six legs!"
They all asked the farmer how it tasted.

"I don't know," said the farmer.
"I never could catch the darn thing!"

--This joke was from ThirdAge

On the topic of ligers.... do you think they use steriods on them Sad that video i posted, he is a beautiful animal, but he needs to be free.. he needs to be healthy in a jungle running around, doing what comes natural to him.
Man needs to leave well enough alone.

The answer to your question is in the video you posted. Steroids are not what makes these cats so huge...
