Mongoose Lemur (Lemur mongoz)
Mongoose lemurs are medium sized members of the family and live
in dry deciduous forests in northwest Madagascar (and in the
surrounding Comoro Islands). Their active behavior can be diurnal
or nocturnal depending on the season. While males and females
are the same size, they differ slightly in colour; both have
a gray wooly base coat but the sides of the female are white,
and the sides of the male are reddish.
