The Filming of our 3rd Educational Video
As many of you are aware from reading our previous Chronicles,
the Tiger Homes Sanctuary has embarked on the production of an
"Educational Video Series". In the hopes that we can instill an
interest to learn and protect wildlife to an even more diverse
audience, we are creating a series of short educational videos
specifically geared towards children and the national school system.
Each of these video?s is also accompanied with a teachers guide
or curriculum filled with projects and lesson plans. The videos
will be offered to the school system as well as on our GIFT SHOP
shortly. As always we greatly need and appreciate your support
of the Sanctuary by your donations and purchases of our GIFT SHOP
items.
I truly believe you all are going to really
enjoy these videos. They are filled with fact after interesting
fact of some of
the world?s most amazing wildlife. Just don?t make fun of my
acting debut in our 1st video, "LEMURS: Tails From the Canopy."
In this video, we bring our viewers into the habitats of the
Sanctuaries resident lemurs for a detailed lesson on lemur
behavior, social structure, diet, identification and physical
traits separating lemurs (Prosimian's) from other primates.
In our 2nd video, "Florida's Wild Future",
we take a little field trip to visit with John Jones of Wild
Florida Productions.
John is a respected expert on educating people about Florida
wildlife, and is a notorious otter handler. In this video,
we teach our audience about Florida Panthers, Alligators, Crocodiles,
Hawks, Rattlesnakes, Otters and other interesting native creatures.
Our 3rd Educational Video in our series is one that David
and I were dying to do. I am sure you can guess the subject
matter? If you guessed CATS, you are correct! As I just mentioned,
David and I were just dying to do an educational film on the
Sanctuary?s resident Tigers, Lions, and Caracals including
a visit to John?s and the Miami Metro Zoo and their Cheetahs.
I personally was extremely Fired Up, because in this video
my Co-Host was David. Together, David and I take you up close,
close, close, to learn and interact with our unusual family
members.
With out doubt, this is going to be our best video yet. Our
producer and camera man Nate just gets better and better. Not
to mention much braver to film our big cats. On this video
we not only had Nate?s expertise, but that of Clayton Dutton
of INNER CIRCLE STUDIOS. Together Nate and Clayton spend hundreds
of man-hours compressing and editing our films into a professional
documentary. David and I really thank and appreciate all of
their extremely hard work and hours these two put into this
project.
I can guarantee you all are going to love these videos. They
will be available on our GIFT SHOP soon. In the meantime, keep
on watching and learning. Get involved, expose and teach your
children.
Remember, there are many ways to help the cause. Here
are a few.
1) Tell everyone you know about the website. By increasing the number of visitors,
we increase the awareness of the danger these wonderful creatures face.
2) If you have a website, link to us - http://www.tigerhomes.org/
3) Submit our site http://www.tigerhomes.org/ to
any webcam sites you may visit.
4) Make a donation to the sanctuary. There is an area on the gift shop for those
who want to contribute.
5) Purchase items from the gift
shop. They make great gifts and are for a worthy
cause.
6) Adopt a pet.
It's a
great
way
to
virtually
own
one
of the sanctuary animals.

Remember, our main mission is to spread an interest in saving
wild animals and wild places but we can't do it alone.
