Point of Interest: Ruffed Lemurs are the largest of all of the living lemurs. These primates are indigenous exclusively to the island of Madagascar. One of the most endangered primates in the world, all lemurs desperately need some drastic conservation efforts. Their numbers in the wild are extremely diminished due to human destruction of their forest habitat as well as hunting. Ruffed Lemurs usually give birth to twins and triplets.
