Did you know that the Artic
Fox (Alopex lagopus) only has a white coat part of the
year? I have raised a few Baby
Artic Foxes and during the summer their Fur
Coat is a dark brown or black. Artic
Foxes in captivity have a lifespan of around 14 years
but Wild Foxes on most
cases do not live more then a few years. This longer lifespan
in captivity is not uncommon amongst Wild Animals as they are
guaranteed a high quality consistent diet and veterinary care.
Unfortunately, Artic Fox Fur is
widely sought after to manufacture Fur
Coats, and these beautiful Artic
Animals are hunted by trappers and natives for their white
pelt in large numbers. Like other Fox
Species, Artic Foxes are also raised in Fur
Farms for their beautiful fur coats. REMEMBER, THE
